...to the start of my Classic Reads Project.
As excited as I am, it's been hard to read the Best of 2010 lists, the New York Times Book Reviews, and the preview of books about to be published in 2011.
With a little over two weeks to read whatever I'd like, I'm a few hundred pages from the end of A Storm of Swords, the third book in George R. R. Martin's epic fantasy series to which I've become addicted in the last couple months. They're long, sprawling, fast reads, and they've all been fantastic (pun intended). Loosely based on England's War of the Roses, with a sprinkling of magic and mysticism, the series is going to get the series treatment on HBO this spring, named after the first book, Game of Thrones.
